  • The fitness room is now up and running.  We have some great cardiovascular machines that your children are using (7 recumbent cycles, 4 ellipticals and 3 treadmills).  They are also involved in "Ground Training" when their partner is on a machine.  Some examples of ground training exercises are step-ups, push-ups, crunches, wall sit, rope ladder, arm curls, medicine ball presses, balance beam and tricep dips.

Welcome to fitness. Your child only has fitness two or three days per week so it is very important that he/she is prepared for class.  Remember, preparation includes a complete change of clothes (shorts, sweatpants, t-shirt) and a pair of sneakers.  Also, the Fitness Log should be filled out during every class and initialed by a parent/guardian twice per quarter (roughly every four weeks).  This log was should be kept in the front pocket of the students' planner. We have been talking about the importance of being active.  Please help to make physical fitness a priority in your child's life.  The Surgeon General recommends 30-60 minutes of exercise most days of the week. Thank you for your help.
